MVP teardowns

Post-launch growth phase. No. It's a cry for help.

Your MVP Isn't a Product.
It's a Cry For Help.

You shipped. Congrats. Now comes the part your beta users won't tell you about. What's broken, what's useless, and what's quietly killing retention.

What you get

1

Kill this now

Features that confuse users and tank conversion. Not everything you built deserves to live. Cut it.

2

Fix this next

The one critical change that actually moves the needle. Stop tinkering everywhere at once. Start here.

3

What's working

The gold you're sitting on and probably ignoring. Double down where users already love you. Keep this.

4

Founder takeaway

A tactical, prioritized roadmap that fixes retention fast. Not a "maybe try this." No maybes.

Why it works

Every founder is too close to their own product. You're emotionally invested. You see the sweat and the late nights. I see the user journey, the friction, and the dead ends. You need outside eyes that aren't afraid to say it straight.

"Kill it. Burn it. Never speak of it again."

This isn't about tearing you down. It's about building your product up, the right way. Clarity over complexity, always.

This is for you if...

Post-MVP, pre-chaos

Launched, got some users, now what? Your retention is leaky and engagement is "meh" at best.

Ambitious roadmap Feature graveyard

Your roadmap is a wish list, not a strategy. You keep shipping features, and users keep shipping out.

Ready for the truth serum

Need someone to call BS and give you the unvarnished truth? Your mom won't. Your investors can't. I will.

You don't have a product problem. You have a prioritization problem.

Your excuses, answered

How long does this "brutal honesty" take?

Quick Teardown: 30-minute call, straight-to-the-point summary in 24 hours. Deep Dive / Strategic Sprint: detailed, actionable plan in 7 to 10 days. No fluff. Just facts and a roadmap to fix your product.

My product is super early. Is this for me?

Perfect. Less scar tissue to cut through. The best time for this is post-MVP, once you've got some users but you're already seeing the cracks. Fix it before you burn more runway.

What kind of products do you tear down?

B2B SaaS, consumer apps. If user experience and retention are your lifeblood, I'm your guy. If you sell artisanal goat cheese online, probably not. Unless your cheese app has terrible onboarding.

What's the equity option about?

When I see a product with real potential, I'll sometimes trade equity for ongoing strategy. It means I believe in what you're building and want skin in the game. Usually 1 to 3% for founders solving problems I actually care about.

Will this be harsh? My ego is fragile.

Honest, yes. Brutally so. Harsh? Only if your product, or your ego, can't handle the truth. My goal isn't to make you feel bad. It's to make your product not bad, fast. If you want a cheerleader, call your mom.

Stop guessing. Start fixing.
